On this show, we interview Paul Morejón. Paul is a photographer & director for editorial, beauty, and fashion events. He was born in New York's cultural center of Harlem, raised in the South Bronx, and began shooting professionally in 2012. He was introduced into the world of fashion by legendary hairstylist Harry King & hair historian Helen Oppenheim, whom he met while shooting at a fashion event. In 2014 he started shooting assignments covering beauty and the experience backstage at New York Fashion Week at shows including Marchesa, Vera Wang, Libertine, Jerome 5.31, Nicopanda, Jill Stuart, and Leanne Marshall. He has championed and adopted the photo series #BlackModelsMatter -- covering models of color backstage and celebrating the community and range of beauty in all shapes, cultures, and skin tones but especially focused on black, Latinx, trans, and gender-nonconforming models.
